AGES has a wide range of events planned each year, enabling students to have fun, build new friendships, develop professional connections, and engage in stimulating conversation. Weekly coffee break, monthly happy hour, and a semester networking event are our staple events.

Unfortunately, all AGES in-person events have been suspended due to COVID-19 safety precautions.

Join us for weekly coffee breaks every Wednesday from 3-4 PM on the 2nd floor common space of Brauer Hall (see map below). Coffee, tea, and snacks are provided! In order to keep costs down and be environmentally friendly, we ask that everyone bring their own reusable mug. Join us!

AGES hosts a happy hour every month, usually on the 2nd floor common space of Green Hall next to Brauer Hall (see map below). Dinner and beer are provided for students to unwind and engage with other students within the School of Engineering. Nominally, this event occurs on the last Friday of each month, however there are exceptions to both the date and the location.

Each semester, AGES hosts a networking event for engineering students to interact with professionals in industry. Experienced engineers provide valuable information and professional connections to students, which can help bring students closer to finding a worthwhile summer internship or job opportunity. Food and alcoholic beverages are provided at the event to reduce stress and promote an environment for networking that is both formal and relaxed. Please see the page about the networking event for more information.
